The Manawatu Hindu Society (MHS) has achieved a major milestone by opening the first Hindu temple in Palmerston North (19 Purdie Place, Milson). The opening ceremony was held on 12 October 2024 and over 500 devotees joined to celebrate this historic moment. This is the first Hindu temple in the wider Manawatu-Wanganui region in New Zealand.
